The real name of Matt Hardy is ‘Matthew Moore Hardy’ and he was born in 23rd September 1974, in Cameron, North Carolina. He has 6’2” height and 255 lbs weight. He started his wrestling professional career on 15th October1992, after getting training from George South Sr., Italian Stallion and Dory Funk Jr. moreover his previous gimmicks were High Voltage, Surge (OMEGA), Wolverine, Jinx Brother, Conquistadors and Matt Hardy Version 1. Furthermore his favorite moves are Drop shot, Splash Mountain (Crucifix Powerbomb), Side-effect, Super Side Effect, Riccochet, Hardys Leg Drop and Megahertz. Matt’s notable feuds are Edge & Christian, Dudley Boyz, Billy Kidman, Brian Kendrick, Dean Malenko, Jeff Hardy, Brock Lesnar, Raven, Matt Hardy, Rey Mysterio, Kane, John Layfield, Zach Gowan, MNM w/Melina andRoad Warrior Animal.
Jeff and Matt Hardy initiated their little wrestling sponsorship in North Carolina and named it "OMEGA" and OMEGA was the initial point for wrestlers like; Shane Helms, Shannon Moore, Joey Matthews, Christian York, and some others.

On 8th April 1995 – NFWA, High Voltage (Matt Hardy) punched The Willow (Jeff Hardy) for the NFWA title. On 24th July 1997 – NCW, Surge (Matt Hardy) overpowered Venom (Joey Abs) for the NCW title. On 5th December 1997, Surge (Matt Hardy) crushed Rick Michaels for the Omega title. In the following year on 17th July 1998, Surge (Matt Hardy) packed down The Willow (Jeff Hardy) for the NDW Light Heavyweight title.

In World Wrestling Federation (WWF)
Matt Hardy was one half of the most well-known teams in the history of the WWF with brother Jeff as The Hardy Boys and Matt Hardy's initial "jobber" matches integrated a match in opposition to Nikolai Volkoff on a live WWF RAW. On 10th July 1995 - WWF RAW, Hunter Hearst Helmsley whitewashed Matt Hardy. In the following year on 15th January 1996 - WWF RAW, Matt Hardy punched by The Ringmaster Steve Austin.

On 9th January 1999 – Shotgun, Bob Holly/ Duane Gill/ Scorpio/Blue Meanie compressed The Hardyz/Brian Christopher/Kevin Quinn. In the next month on 13 February 1999 – Shotgun, Edge & Gangrel whitewashed The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy). On 20th March 1999 in Shotgun, Owen Hart & Jeff Jarrett packed down The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy). On 17th April 1999 – Shotgun, Edge & Christian overpowered The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy). On 12th June1999 in Shotgun, Mideon and Viscera pained The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy) by DQ and after few days on 26th June 1999 – Shotgun, Mark Henry and D'Lo Brown crushed The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy).
On 19th July 1999 in RAW, The Hardy Boyz mashed The Acolytes and Droz and Albert and Val Venis and The Godfather in a 4-Way to retain the Tag Team titles. On 25th July 1999 in Fully Loaded, The Acolytes (Bradshaw and Farooq) punched The Hardy Boyz to gain the WWF Tag Team titles.

On 9th August 1999 – RAW, The Hardy Boyz connected up with Gangrel to form the New Brood and after few days in SummerSlam on 22nd August 1999, The Hardy Boyz w/Gangrel contributed in a Tag Team Turmoil match which was acheieve by the Acolytes. On the next day on 23rd August 1999 – RAW, The Rock crushed Gangrel w/The Hardyz. On 9th September 1999 in SmackDown, Edge & Christian packed down The Hardy Boyz w/Gangrel. On 17th October 1999 in No Mercy, The Hardy Boyz whitewashed Edge and Christian in a Ladder competition to succeed the Terri Invitational and The Hardy Boyz achieved the victory for $100,000 and the personal services of Terri.
On 23rd October 2000 – RAW, Los Conquistadores (Matt and Jeff Hardy) overwhelmed Edge in a Handicap match and they were prized The Tag Team Titles after E&C hidden themselves the night before as the Los Conquistadores.

On 29th January 2001 – RAW, The Hardy Boyz squeezed Bull Buchanan and The Goodfather and The Acolytes in a 3-Way Dance and after this competition, in Smackdwon, on 1st February 2001; The Dudley Boyz (Tag Team Champions) overpowered The Hardy Boyz in a Tables match.

On 29th August 2002 in Smackdown event, Matt Hardy irritated Stephanie McMahon into providing him a game with Brock Lesnar, later on that night Brock Lesnar damaged Matt Hardy in a non-title match. In the following month on 5th September 2002 in Smackdown, Matt's misplacing streak continues with a defeat to Hardcore Holly.
On 11 October 2003 in Velocity event, Matt Hardy beat Tyson Dux and after this Matt Hardy connected the RAW crew for weekend live events and may link the RAW brand enduringly in the near future. On 18th October 2003 in Velocity, Matt Hardy mashed Sho Funaki, on the next day on 19th October 2003 in No Mercy contest, Zach Gowan crushed Matt Hardy with, you guessed it, the moonsault.

On 14th June2004 in RAW, Matt Hardy and Lita packed down Tyson Tomko and Trish Stratus (Lita pinned Trish) and later on that night, Lita got a pregnancy test and found out that she was Pregnant! (Apparently with Matt Hardy's baby).

On 25th July 2005 in RAW contest, Edge w/Lita overpowered Kane in a "Stretcher" competition by beating Kane out cold twice with the briefcase afterwards; Matt Hardy assaulted Edge, while Kane tombstoned Lita on the stage then stole the ambulance with Lita inside. On 26th September 2005 in RAW, Matt Hardy trodden Russell Simpson in a competition taped for HEAT and Edge (sitting on top of a ladder) cut a clip on Matt Hardy, who came down and pushed the ladder over.

On 20th January 2006 in Smackdown, Matt Hardy overwhelmed Fit Finlay (debut) by DQ when Finlay utilized aggressive power and got DQ'd and Finlay said he would provide the referee a better cause to DQ him and stomped on Matt Hardy's head while on the ring steps.
On 28th November 2006 in ECW on Sci Fi, The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy) packed down Sylvester Terkay and Elijah Burke, after the match, MNM (Johnny Nitro and Joey Mercury w/Melina Perez) captured and destroyed The Hardy Boyz.
On 3rd December 2006 in ECW December to Dismember, The Hardy Boyz crushed MNM (Mercury and Nitro w/Melina Perez) and on the next day, 4th December 2006 in RAW, Edge and Randy Orton and MNM w/Melina packed down Triple H and Shawn Michaels and The Hardy Boyz.
